Introduction to archaeologyAn activity of teh Holiday Pass of the city of Biel/Bienne

In April 2019, ArchaeoConcept organised a day of introduction to archaeology for the Holiday Pass of the city of Biel/Bienne. First of all, the children made a timeline showing the important innovations of each period, from the Palaeolithic to the Roman period. After learning about the objectives and problems of archaeology, they then carried out their own archaeological excavations, applying the techniques necessary for the preservation of archaeological remains. Following this field operation, the children studied their finds, i.e. the results of their excavations, with a view to precise chronological dating, which they presented to the other participants.
